Because the Sigma is designed with efficiency in mind, it can be operated as a stand-alone instrument or integrated into a fully automated laboratory environment. The Sigma is ideal for high throughput workflows because in less than 30 seconds it can (de)cap a whole rack of sample storage tubes. The Sigma by AFYS3G has three different editions: The Sigma96 for 96-well racks, Sigma48 for 48-well racks and the Sigma24 for 24-well racks.

Not only is the Sigma recapper highly efficient, but it is also a versatile piece of labware equipment. The device can be custom made to be compatible with a range of tube brands. Thanks to the interface having embeddable API’s, the recapper can also be integrated into larger robotic systems like liquid handlers.
